Hey, I’m Laura

Fashion Media & Marketing Graduate specialising in Branding, Storytelling, Cultural Insight & Strategy

About Me

I am a media creative with a passion for cultural studies, branding, and storytelling. Over the past three years on my Fashion Media & Marketing course at Arts University Plymouth, I’ve honed a diverse skill set across creative direction, trend forecasting, marketing, and brand identity. However, my true passion lies in analysing cultural shifts, particularly within digital spaces, and using these insights to shape brand narratives, consumer relationships, and market trends.

I thrive whilst exploring the intersection of fashion, media, and society, translating cultural movements into compelling brand strategies. Whether through strategic marketing, visual storytelling, or brand development, my goal is to create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences. I see branding not just as an aesthetic exercise but as a powerful tool for storytelling, emotional engagement, and identity formation.

My work is driven by a deep curiosity about how culture and society influence perception, in turn exploring how brands reflect or challenge these norms. This has led me to develop projects that merge strategy with cultural relevance, ensuring that branding and content go beyond surface-level appeal to resonate with today’s audiences. I’m always heavily inspired by market research and trends, and strong research is always at the forefront of any project I undertake.

I’m inspired by the ways fashion, youth, and digital culture intersect to shape engagement and perception. Whether crafting visual concepts, narratives, or campaigns, I strive to contribute to important cultural conversations and bridge the gap between media, culture, and commerce. Above all, I aim to create work that is not only visually compelling but also socially and culturally impactful - authentic, inclusive, and creatively forward-thinking.

Skills

Over the course of my creative journey, I’ve developed a wide range of technical and marketing skills that have become essential to my practice. From mastering tools like the Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One to working hands-on with studio set lighting, these skills have not only deepened my understanding of the production process but also helped me bring ideas to life more effectively.

Having this behind-the-scenes knowledge has made me a more confident and collaborative creative. It’s given me the language to communicate clearly with photographers, designers, and stylists, ensuring that every part of a project aligns with the original vision. Whether I’m art directing a shoot, designing layouts, or overseeing social content, these tools allow me to stay hands-on and intentional throughout the process.
